About the Summer Ensemble Program
In this three-week session, the students will be living the life of a professional Theatre Ensemble and will be challenged to create a high caliber show with assistance from Li’l Buds Teaching Artists. This session encompasses all aspects of the Theatrical Arts, including rehearsal, design, construction and performance and challenges students to reach their maximum acting potential. Technical interns will work side by side with Teaching Artists, and will be in charge of the theatrical design of sets, costumes and props, and the Ensemble will work together to bring those designs to life, using skills they have mastered. Student performers will be challenged to master complex music, choreography and follow professional direction. Mornings will consist of advanced acting and improvisation games, and the afternoons will be dedicated to the rehearsal and set/prop/costume construction of their show (Show is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat). This is a great and challenging experience for children interested in professional acting or who are currently pursuing acting careers.
